Eight of the ten American missionaries charged with child abduction in Haiti have been released. The individuals were released by the presiding judge, but may need to return for questioning. They were flown back to the United States on a military place.
The leader of the group, Laura Silsby, and one other member, are still being held in Haiti for further questioning. Silsby has admitted she did not have the proper paperwork to leave the country with the children. Defense attorney Aviol Fleurant commented "The judge wants to question two of my clients because they were in Haiti before the earthquake . . ."
There is no word on when the other two missionaries will be released.
