Judge Reprimanded For Brandishing Gun in Court

A Utah judge has been reprimanded for pulling out a gun and pointing it at a bailiff. The incident happened last year when a bailiff joked to the judge he was going to toss water on him. The judge responded by pulling out a gun and pointing it at the bailiff in an attempt to be humorous. According to reports, there was a general sense of confusion and dismay in the courtroom when the incident happened.

The Utah Supreme Court investigated the incident and determined the judge was acting in a joking manner. As part of his reprimand, the judge has agreed to never bring a gun into court again.
