Two teens walked with 15-year-old Jordan Manners down some stairs in his high school before one of them shot him in the middle of his chest, the Crown says.
Manners collapsed on the ground “and never gets up,” prosecutor Aaron Del Rizzo said Wednesday in making his opening statement in the trial of the two young men.
J.J.W. and C.P.D. stood and pleaded not guilty Wednesday to first-degree murder in the May 23, 2007 death of the Grade 9 student. It was the first ever fatal shooting inside a Toronto high school.
