Times Square video shows ‘person of interest’

Investigators in New York City are poring over video footage captured by surveillance cameras in and around Times Square in an effort to find out who was behind Saturday night’s failed car bombing.

Police and FBI are viewing "hundreds of hours" of video from the area, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said, and one video has provided a possible lead.

It shows a white middle-aged man shedding a dark-coloured shirt near the sport utility vehicle the bomb was found in, police said. He then looks back in the direction of the smoking vehicle and stuffs the shirt into a bag.
