Prior to Verdict, Juror Says Defendant is Guilty on Facebook

A Michigan juror is facing contempt charges after posting a comment on the trial she was assigned to. Specifically, prior to sentencing, the juror wrote "actually excited for jury tomorrow . . . it’s gonna be fun to tell the defendant they’re guilty. :p"

Before the post was deleted, however, the court had been informed of the posting. Upon questioning from the judge, the juror denied it and then refused to respond. It appears she was ultimately removed from the jury and is due back in court for a contempt of court hearing.
