US police catch ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ fugitive couple

The hunt for a fugitive couple whose flight has made headlines in the US has ended in their capture, officials say.

Escaped prison inmate John McCluskey and his fiancée Casslyn Welch were arrested after Arizona forestry workers spotted them and alerted authorities.

The pair, who have reportedly described themselves as "Bonnie and Clyde" after the infamous 20th Century outlaws, are being held in the county jail.

They have been on the run since McCluskey escaped from jail on 30 July.
