Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Enforceable Pending Outcome of Appeal

Yesterday, the Pentagon told recruiters they could openly accept gay applicants. Today, the Pentagon will likely tell recruiters that "don’t ask, don’t tell" is once again enforceable. Late yesterday, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the policy can be enforced as the appeals process runs it course.

As noted, while the Obama administration supports ending the policy, they want to end it in orderly fashion and with the full support of the Pentagon.
