Former newspaper mogul Conrad Black is asking the United States Supreme Court to quash his remaining convictions for fraud and obstruction of justice.
Lawyers for Black filed an appeal with the U.S. top court on Thursday.
Black must now wait to see if the court will hear the case. If the justices won’t hear it, the convictions will stand.
An appeals court in Chicago has already turned down Black twice in his bid to have the convictions overturned.
