Top US judge fined over car crash

US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was given a traffic ticket after a four-car road crash in Washington DC.

No one was injured in the shunt about 0900 local time (1400 GMT) on Tuesday.

Mr Scalia, 75, was driving to work at the US Supreme Court, which was hearing arguments in a gender discrimination law suit against US retailer Wal-Mart.

He was given a $70 ticket for following too closely, according to police quoted by the Washington Post newspaper.
