It’s interesting to note that investors in the new alternative business structure law firms are looking for lawyers willing to meet and serve their clients online:
“The traditional law firm model is often seen as unapproachable or frightening by members of the public, Stell argues, and ‘sometimes it’s not necessarily convenient to the modern consumer, who is used to having access to what they want at weekends and in the evenings’. Many traditional firms contest that depiction. But Stell maintains: ‘By using technology we can make access to legal services easier for members of the public and for SMEs [Small and Medium Enterprises]. We could see that this was a large marketplace which other providers would be looking to enter.’”
